Exemplars

In evaluating a signature or autograph it is paramount that you have known authentic samples of the signature or autograph in question. These authentic samples, known as "exemplars", are key when evaluating the questioned signature or autograph. Exemplars are used as a base for side-by-side comparisons, which is the starting point of any signature or autograph evaluation.

As part of our continued efforts to help educate our customers, R&S Sports Collectibles has begun to assemble an exemplar file to be used for your own reference and comparison. When comparing signatures or autographs, it is important to keep in mind that the side-by-side comparison is but a small part of the actual evaluation. In order to obtain a thorough evaluation you should seek out court qualified, board certified hand writing experts.
